The Good Life in Florida Keys

Scott Papek Releases “THE GOOD LIFE”

Throughout his travels around the world, Scott has met many interesting people who, through introspective conversations, eventually lead him to beautiful locations in their community. This image captures Bob’s boats from Islamorada Island in the Florida Keys. Bob has been residing on the water for fifteen years, has three girlfriends, and loves beer. Scott says that Bob never had to tell him any of the above facts because it was so easy to read in his eyes that he had a passion for life that was not only addictive, but also contagious. Paradise in the Rockies

Bear Lake

Bear Lake contains abundant suspended microscopic particles of white-colored calcium carbonate (lime) that reflect the water’s natural blue color back to the surface, giving the lake its intense turquoise-blue color. This color is why Bear Lake is know as the “Caribbean of the Rockies.” These particles of calcium carbonate are mainly derived from the abundant limestone of the Bear River Range. Serene Gathering

For 3 years, the Aspen leaves of Colorado have been taunting me.  But I persevered until I finally captured the peak of foliage.  The leaves of gold whispered in the wind, mimicking the sound of ocean waves from far away.  One of my collectors encouraged me to release this picture.  Listening to his words brought me back to the 3 days of waiting, 3 days of standing in 70 degree weather, 3 days of feeling the breeze wash over me, wash over the leaves until I was finally able to capture the perfect moment, the perfect lighting, the perfect yellow vibrant leaves of the Colorado Aspen.

“Serene Gathering.”  It is a limited edition of only 300 prints and looks best on the Aluma Museum Mount. For more info please go here

Fall Lake Colors

Fall Colors on a Lake

After an interesting conversation with a collector of mine he suggested that I should not label where my photos are taken. It’s an interesting concept and I believe he is right. My style has never been documenting certain places it’s about capturing the scene in front of me.

This is a photograph in the fall with beautiful reflections on a lake.

Maroon Bells

Maroon Bells

The Maroon Bells are located in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, (near Aspen), and are considered to be the most photographed peaks in Colorado. If you’re a nature lover and wondering what you want to see in Colorado, I highly recommend visiting these peaks.  Here is my take on a over- photographed place. To see more view here

The Gate to Eternity

The Gate to Eternity Fine Art Photography

I knew this Sea Cave was a must shot for me but wasn’t sure if a high tide would ruin my vision. The tide was even better than I had expected. In my mind the shot had to represent a sacred gate that leads to anywhere you want it to. By slowing down my shutter speed on my camera, it allowed me to create the misty entrance to The Gate To Eternity. To see more view here
