Can’t wait to revisit Siesta Key beach when it’s not storming.

I knew this Sea Cave was a must shot for me but wasn’t sure if a high tide would ruin my vision. The tide was even better than I had expected. In my mind the shot had to represent a sacred gate that leads to anywhere you want it to. By slowing down my shutter speed on my camera, it allowed me to create the misty entrance to The Gate To Eternity. To see more view here
The City of Cannon Beach is located on the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon, 80 miles west of Portland and 25 miles south of Astoria. Cannon Beach is surrounded by the rugged natural beauty of forests, ocean beaches, rivers, and the Oregon Coast Mountain range. The clouds looked like they were formed with a paint brush so it inspired me to treat this shot like a painting. Waiting patiently for the perfect wave to push the water up the shoreline, I slowed down my camera speed to get the smooth effect. I love everything about this shot from the proud boulder to the smooth ocean; but the subtle color along the shoreline blows my mind. To view more info on The Gatekeeper visit here
Have you ever experienced the perfect moment? The perfect moment for me is when everything around you is working in such a way that it might never happen again. I know when the perfect moment is surrounding me because the goose bumps appear and I hope it never ends. The light, the color, the reflection, the breeze, the smell and sound. I’m glad my friend on the left rock experienced it with me. The Perfect Moment is a limited edition of only 50 prints and can be viewed here.
My intention was never intended to photograph a rock. I mean come on.
Driving along Highway One in Northern California is a little sketchy due to the gigantic cliffs; but the views are breathtaking. This particular morning was cold; but the mile hike in complete darkness packed with all kinds of camera gear warmed me up quickly.
Walking along the beach the clouds were dancing right in front of my eyes. That is when I noticed there was something working together with the sky and rock pattern. I was taken by the rock in this image. It has been getting its butt kicked by the ocean for years, but it isn’t going down easy. It is weathered, but strong. For more info view here
I believe a photo is only as good as it’s story. My original plan was to capture a sunset shot but that went out the door as I watched this loyal dog sit at the beach for an hour until his master(dad) was done surfing. If you have ever had that love for your pet you totally get this story. “Loyal” was captured at Anini Beach in Kauai, Hawaii.
