Old Naple

Old Naple Pier

The first time I saw what was left of this old pier, I knew this was a shot I couldn’t leave without. Mother Nature was dumping rain on me for nearly eight days. Each of those days gave me pause to witness changing compositions and light at different times. On the seventh day a contrast developed with the darker blues in the sky and the aqua blue of the gulf at the edge of Florida. The goal was to have that smooth almost zen water feel to showcase the blues presenting my signature shot were you feel you are standing right there with me in this captured moment.

Go With the Flow

Flordia Ocean Photography

There are many things about Landscape Photography that make so much sense to me but I have to say one of my favorites is the not knowing. You can plan this and plan that but so many different elements have to come together for it to feel right. This shot is a perfect example of the not knowing,  I’m standing in the dark at a location I had never seen before wondering is this the day Mother Nature will share some of her color.  If she gives me at least a chance I will connect with whatever is in front of me and do her proud. The Gate to Eternity

The Gate to Eternity Fine Art Photography

I knew this Sea Cave was a must shot for me but wasn’t sure if a high tide would ruin my vision. The tide was even better than I had expected. In my mind the shot had to represent a sacred gate that leads to anywhere you want it to. By slowing down my shutter speed on my camera, it allowed me to create the misty entrance to The Gate To Eternity. To see more view here

The Gatekeeper

Canon Beach Fine Art Photography

The City of Cannon Beach is located on the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon, 80 miles west of Portland and 25 miles south of Astoria. Cannon Beach is surrounded by the rugged natural beauty of forests, ocean beaches, rivers, and the Oregon Coast Mountain range.  The clouds looked like they were formed with a paint brush so it inspired me to treat this shot like a painting.  Waiting patiently for the perfect wave to push the water up the shoreline, I slowed down my camera speed to get the smooth effect.  I love everything about this shot from the proud boulder to the smooth ocean; but the subtle color along the shoreline blows my mind. Made in The Usa

MadeintheusaWhile searching for a shot in Virginia, I about ran off the gravel road when I came across this barn. Mother Nature was doing her thing with the beautiful clouds while I was getting my camera in place. You could feel the pride with this old barn as it displayed the American Flag.
