Fall Color Photography

Fall color photography

On a morning run around my favorite lake in Omaha this morning, I found myself stopping and taking iphone picks. This time of year everything begins looking different. Yes I love the cooler weather and the changes in color. My favorite part is the soft, beautiful fall light. It’s officially here and will only last about 6 weeks. Colorado bound next week.

Sprint in Crested Butte

Crested Butte

The spring season is full of transformations. The temperature rises to a more bearable degree, opposing Mother Nature’s last few months of freezing surroundings. The leaves we saw fall and flowers we saw wilt are now budding into lush, green, picture-perfect plants. Aside from the weather’s transformations that occur in the spring season, we are transforming our lives, too. Image captured in Crested Butte, Colorado

Fall into the season

A touch of Fall

Scott Papek Presents “FALL INTO THE SEASON”

What is better than a warm fall day? How about a warm fall day surrounded by color in the mountains? I don’t take the places I travel to and see for granted. There is so much color, character and beauty all around these United States. Thank you for being part of my obsession and journey. Fall into the season is a Limited Edition of only 300 prints and can be viewed here.

Serene Gathering

For 3 years, the Aspen leaves of Colorado have been taunting me.  But I persevered until I finally captured the peak of foliage.  The leaves of gold whispered in the wind, mimicking the sound of ocean waves from far away.  One of my collectors encouraged me to release this picture.  Listening to his words brought me back to the 3 days of waiting, 3 days of standing in 70 degree weather, 3 days of feeling the breeze wash over me, wash over the leaves until I was finally able to capture the perfect moment, the perfect lighting, the perfect yellow vibrant leaves of the Colorado Aspen.

“Serene Gathering.”  It is a limited edition of only 300 prints and looks best on the Aluma Museum Mount. For more info please go here

Colorado Aspens

The other day I was giving a presentation on my work and someone asked me what was my favorite part about being a Landscape Photographer. I’ve never been asked before but it wasn’t a hard answer. It’s the search to find something different, colorful, meaningful and peaceful. More times than not, it’s about getting into my car and drive with no expectations. There is so much out there that hasn’t been touched and I feel like it’s my responsibility to expose it. Nature’s Color was around Crested Butte, Colorado. To view sizing and pricing click here
