Made in The Usa

MadeintheusaWhile searching for a shot in Virginia, I about ran off the gravel road when I came across this barn. Mother Nature was doing her thing with the beautiful clouds while I was getting my camera in place. You could feel the pride with this old barn as it displayed the American Flag. Perfect Harmony

I was listing to music and going through my six years of work, when I came across this image.  It was one of those days where you feel like the universe is working against you.  I had been working on my seasonal gallery all day with my designer and nothing was flowing.  This image has everything that inspires me; the ocean, the breeze, the moment, the smell and most importantly, the sound of the stream working perfectly with the subtle ocean waves.  This image reflects perfect harmony.  It inspired me and helped me find perspective on a challenging day.  I hope it does the same for you.  Click here to view the full image:

Upcoming Events:

  • Nov 15th – Dec 31st the Seasonal Gallery will be open.  Located on the 2nd level, next to Greenberg Diamonds and across from Pac Sun.  The gallery is coming along nicely.  I’m very excited to be opening it soon.

Thank you for being a part of my journey!

If you’re in Omaha, please stop by the gallery to support this (SOB) South Omaha Boy.

east coast ocean storm

Storm approaching Nahunt beach

At one of my showings a very nice older lady in her 80’s approached me and said you’re a cloud person aren’t you. I replied yes I am and thanks for noticing. The beauty of Landscape photography is you could photograph the same place everyday with so many different outcomes. When you finally nail a shot like this, you move on and never return. This Photograph was shot along the Massachusetts coast.

Lost At Sea

LostAtSea

SCOTT PAPEK PRESENTS “LOST AT SEA”
Northern California offers some of the most beautiful coastlines in the country. It also offers a lot of foggy days. I only had one morning left to get this shot documented due to fog the previous days. I’ll never forget sitting there in the dark listening to the gentle waves below wondering if today was the day there would be clear skies. Not only was it clear out but it was some of the most beautiful light I had ever witnessed.
Lost at Sea was captured in San Simeon Bay, California. What I love about it is that it could be anywhere. I think that’s my style I don’t like to document places or landmarks it’s more about getting into the heart and soul of what is in front of me. “Lost at Sea” is a limited edition of only 300 images and available here.

Scott Papek is releasing two Limited Edition prints, Tranquility #1 and Tranquility #2.  Both images were captured in Oregon on the Mission Gorge at the same location 15 minutes apart.  Not only do you get amazing sunsets this time of year, but throw in some haze from the wildfires and it becomes unpredictable and quite frankly, unbelievable.  I’ve never released two prints from the same scene but maybe with the twins on the way I’m used to buying everything double now.  Then again maybe my wife, Julie, and I couldn’t agree on one.  I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.  Mother Nature is queen and I thank her for creating beauty every minute of every day.

Loyal

This Image get’s me everytime! I’m such a sap when it comes to pets especially dogs. The Image was taken in Kauai in 2008 with my incredible wife, Julie. I wish you could have seen the rest of the story as the dog waited patiently for his master\dad to finish with his evening surf.

Missing the sun and ocean today. This Image was taken in Kauai, Hawaii to long ago. I can still feel the warm breeze and soft sand in my toes.

Scott Papek Limited Edition Print Release “ZENITH”

Scott Papek Limited Edition Print Zenith, White Sands, New Mexico

Scott Papek Photography is proud to announce another limited edition print to the family.  Let’s welcome, “ZENITH”. Zenith was captured in the White Sands Park in New Mexico at 5:43 AM.  On this morning I had set up an early arrival with the Game and Parks.  You pay them $50.00 an hour and they open the gates for you at any time.  The hike to my scouted location was 1.1 miles with the help of my Garmin hand-held GPS.  It’s easy to get disoriented when you are surrounded with white rolling hills and on top of that throw in complete darkness!
I adore Zenith and, hopefully, you do too.
